Fire Control

If you have an emergency please dial 999 and ask for the emergency service that you require.
All 999 calls are free of charge.
In the event that you want more than one Service – don’t worry, the emergency services pass calls to each other very quickly.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Fire Control (Fire Control) monitors the status of all fire appliances, officers and specialist appliances across Merseyside.

Fire Control is responsible for receiving calls from the 999 system and mobilising appliances and officers to the scene of the emergency quickly and effectively.

Fire Control has direct links to Police and Ambulance Controls in Merseyside and other Fire and Rescue Services in the north west. This enables them to keep other emergency services informed of incidents and request their assistance if needed.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service is the lead authority for National Resilience and as such Fire Control co-ordinates national resilience assets for the whole of the UK.
