Location: Poulton Road, Spital
Fire crews were called to Poulton Road in Spital on Wednesday 28th August after reports a bird was trapped in a tree.
Crews were alerted at 11.32am and on scene at 11.40am. One fire engine attended.
On arrival crews found a pigeon suspended by its leg, approximately 25 foot above the ground.
Crews used a triple extension ladder to reach the bird and a bow saw to free it from the tree.
The pigeon was handed into the care of the RSPCA.
Fire crews left the scene at 12.28pm.
