Location: Campbeltown Road, Birkenhead
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called to a shipbuilding company in Campbeltown Road, Birkenhead, on Wednesday 14th August after reports a person had fallen from a ladder on a ship.
Crews were on scene at 9.24am. Two fire engines attended as well as the search and rescue appliance.
On arrival, crews found one person had fallen approximately three metres.
After decking and plates were removed to give access to the casualty, crews set up a rope system and hauled the casualty to an upper deck, also using rag gear and a stretcher.
The casualty was then lowered to the ground using a crane.
NWAS was also at the scene.
The casualty, who suffered leg injuries, was taken to hospital.
Crews left the scene at 10.48am.
