Location: Union Street, Liverpool City Centre
Firefighters are currently in attendance at a building fire on Union Street, Liverpool City Centre.
Crews were alerted at 9.10am and on scene at 9.17am. Six fire engines are currently in attendance, as well as the combined platform ladder.
On arrival crews found the roof space of the five storey building to be alight.
Please avoid the area.
The incident is ongoing.
UPDATE 10.36am
The fire has now been extinguished and was contained to the roof cavity of the fifth floor.
There are no reports of any injuries.
Crews are now damping down and removing panels within the affected room.
