Location: Page Moss Parade, Dovecot
Firefighters attended a fire at a flat on Page Moss Parade, Dovecot, on Monday 21st October.
Crews were alerted at 5.46pm and on scene at 5.53pm. Two fire engines attended.
On arrival crews found a fire in the bedroom of a first floor flat.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Crews then ventilated the property using a positive pressure fan.
It is believed the fire started accidentally.
The kitchen sustained severe heat and smoke damage, with the remainder of the flat sustaining slight smoke damage.
Crews left the scene at 6.17pm.
