House fire, Croxteth

Firefighters attended a fire at a property in Tintagel Road, Croxteth, on Friday, 10th January.

Crews were alerted at 4.02am and on the scene at 4.08am. Two fire engines attended the incident.

On arrival crews found a fire in the kitchen.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Four people, suffering smoke inhalation, were assessed at the scene by North West Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital for precautionary checks.

It is believed the fire started accidentally and involved a mini fridge. The kitchen sustained heat and smoke damage and the rest of the house was damaged by smoke.

Firefighters left the scene at 5.16am.
