Location: Ormskirk Road, Aintree
Firefighters attended a road traffic collision on Ormskirk Road, Aintree, on Monday 2nd September.
Crews were alerted at 4.07pm and on scene at 4.13pm. Two fire engines attended.
On arrival crews found two vehicles involved in a collision on Ormskirk Road, at its junction with the entrance to Asda.
Both vehicles were on all four wheels.
Firefighters administered first aid to two people still inside one of the vehicles, before using hydraulic cutters to remove the side door of the vehicle to allow the occupants to self extricate.
Crews then handed the occupants into the care of North West Ambulance Service, who took one person to hospital for further treatment.
Fire crews left the scene at 5.08pm.
