Nick Mernock is the Director of People and Organisational Development at Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.
Nick has strategic overview of all people related areas, assessing the suitability of initiatives to enhance Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service in its advancement of its systems, policies and procedures to address people and organisational delivery. This involves working with the SMG and Joint Secretaries on change management and development issues, and continuing to co-ordinate the development of collaborative service delivery at a regional level.
Nick's role includes overseeing occupational health services, people services, recruitment and development of staff, professional standards, industrial relations and human resource systems.
